Aphrodite Tsalgatidou holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester (UMIST), UK. Since 1991, she is on the faculty of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of the Athens, Greece. During the years 1999-2000, she has been a senior researcher at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland in the area of Mobile E-Commerce. Dr. Tsalgatidou has held various positions as a research engineer, project manager and director of Research and Development in the private as well as in the public sector. Her scientific interests include requirements engineering, business process reengineering, (mobile) electronic commerce, e-services and peer-to-peer architectures.
